Photography/Videography There will be a professional videographer and photographer at the event. If you have concerns with your piece being captured on video or photograph, please let me know.
Entrances/Exits Unless the choreography dictates otherwise, dancers should enter from stage left, and exit stage right.
Stage Dimension Stage will stand approx. 3 feet high and its dimensions are 28' x 20'.
Tickets While The CT Salsa Fest does not require that a set number of tickets be pre-sold in order to perform at the event, we are seeking your assistance in encouraging you and your dancers and their friends and family to support our event, so that we can continue to celebrate the love of dance in Connecticut. Commission packages available. (please contact me if you are interested) Also, this year we will be collecting donations for St. Jude Children's Hospital. (Cancer treatment facility) We hope that you will help support this great cause. We have sponsor booklets available, please let us know if you are willing to support this great cause. (more info will be sent to you by email) or you can contact me: admin@ctsalsafest.com
I would like to thank you all in advance for your cooperation and support as well as for the time and effort you have put into your fabulous routines.
The schedule for the day allows for the maximum number of performances.
In order for the day to progress smoothly please read the following details:
Performing groups/teams must report to registration desk immediately to sign in. Registration takes place at the CT Salsa Fest Performers Registration Desk. Performers may also purchase their Workshop passes at registration. Workshop Prices:
- Adults: $50.00 per day
- Youths: FREE up to 16yrs old.
ALL TEAMS MUST provide us with your Music/Routine CD at time of registration. (Please label CD w/ Team name, date of performance)
Please make sure you go to your scheduled tech rehearsal time slot. There will be over 25 teams per Showcase and we will not delay tech rehearsals for late-comers, etc.
Dressing for event will take place in your hotel room or in the Rest Rooms located near Registration Desk. Groups/Teams with multiple groups should schedule their order of performance to allow for costume change.
All performers must be prepared to take the stage once they are assembled in back stage area. Groups must take the stage when announced as performance WILL NOT be delayed for missing members or members changing.
Back stage area is restricted to performers only. For those w/ small children performers, please advise us if you will need to accompany them backstage. Directors are responsible for having dancers ready to take stage in a timely fashion.
Head DJ /Music Coordinator (Rob Suave) will play performance music.
Performers must leave back stage area when routine is completed.
